The 26-game winning string by the 1916 New York Giants includes a tie. The Cleveland Indians, meanwhile, are now an unstoppable juggernaut that is destined to win the franchise's first World Series title since 1948.

It's simple. It's complicated.

With 42 homers, batters increased their season total to 5,448, closing within 245 of the major league record of 5,693 homers set in 2000. "If one happened because of darkness or rain or some certain circumstance, the game was played over". Jeimer Candelario had two of them.

The Indians announced later that Ramirez was pulled as a precaution with a forearm bruise.

With their latest overpowering win, they extended baseball's longest winning streak since 2002 to 19 games with an 11-0 blowout of the Detroit Tigers on Monday night to move closer to a record that has stood for 101 years. They have scored first in 18 of the 19 wins.

The Indians' 19-game winning streak stands among the best in baseball history.

Since this current streak reached critical mass at 10 games and became a daily topic of discussion, Indians manager Terry Francona has given essentially the same answer to the inevitable questions asked by reporters after every win. "It's easy to look at their roster and say, 'Let's put a roster together like that'".

As part of the #BuyInJuly promotion, anyone who hired Universal Windows Direct in July would have their entire project paid for by the company if the Indians won 15 straight games this season. "No offense to the Dodgers and the Astros". They didn't lose again until Sept. 30, falling 8-3 to the Boston Braves. Cleveland LHP Andrew Miller (right knee tendinitis) threw a simulated game Monday afternoon, and he could be activated off the disabled list this week. It finished 63-91 (.409).

"Incredible", Hirdt said of the Giants' streakiness.

Today, games that are tied when called are suspended and resume at that point. Fulmer, who was 10-12 with a 3.83 ERA in 25 starts this season, is expected to be fully recovered from the surgery by the start of spring training.

The defending AL champions aren't just rolling, they're steamrolling, outscoring opponents 132-32 during a stretch that includes six shutouts.

Since then, there's been nothing but W's, let alone a tie. But in truth, what happens in MLB in September tends to stay in September. "And I don't know how you pitch to it, either".
