The main highlight of the new phone is the 5.99-inch bezel-less display with an aspect ratio of 18:9 and runs on Android 7.1.1 (Nougat). Xiaomi has also introduced a special edition device with ceramic body priced at 4699 yuan which roughly comes to Rs 46,000). It's comprised of a 12MP shooter for wide-angle photos and videos and a 12MP telephoto camera that is ideal for portraits.
This phone supports Dual SIM (nano + nano) and also offers connectivity options of 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11c, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC and USB Type-C.
The Mi MIX 2 and the Mi Note 3 will launch at Xiaomi's annual product launch on Monday, Sept. 11 at 2 p.m. CST. The camera also has 4-axis optical image stabilization and a four-sided curved ceramic unibody. The standard variant comes in Black color while the Special Editon comes in Black and White colors. The Mi Note 3 has an aluminum frame and the back is also made of glass. It will be available in 64GB, 128GB and 256 GB storage models.
As for the pricing, the Mi Mix 2 has been priced at RMB 3,299 (~Rs 32,340) for 64GB model, RMB 3,599 (~Rs 35,300) for 128GB variant and RMB 3,999 (~Rs 39,200) for the 256GB model. It is expected to be backed up by a 3,400 mAh battery. The official Twitter handle of Mi India has teased the image of the Mi Mix 2, and mentioned that the device is coming soon to India. Meanwhile, the Mi Note 3 is a larger version of the Xiaomi Mi 6, which was launched earlier this year. Judging by the photographs, the Mi Note 3 will be essentially a bigger version of the Mi 6 flagship smartphone. The front camera is a 16-megapixel sensor with 2-micron pixels.
However, Lin didn't reveal anything about the other device, which is speculated to get unveiled at the event along with the Mi Mix 2.
