Vince Wilfork Signs Contract With Patriots, Gives Emotional Retirement Speech

The defending Super Bowl champion New England Patriots recently became the first NFL team to purchase their own plane. The pictures tweeted by the team show a jet painted with the colors and logo of the team, with an image of five Lombardi Trophies on the tail. As airlines have recovered from the financial challenges of the past decade, the cost to charter an aircraft has risen dramatically. He led sales in the month of May before ultimately losing out to Brady in collective sales from April-July.

ESPN further noted: "American said last year that it would no longer fly the Arizona Cardinals, Baltimore Ravens, Indianapolis Colts, Jacksonville Jaguars, Pittsburgh Steelers and Miami Dolphins".

The cost of these planes, depending on miles flown and condition, is somewhere between million and million.

Vince Wilfork is a retired man, and his emotions were less humorous as it became official Wednesday than in his initial announcement earlier this week.

A source told ESPN that the planes the Patriots purchased have extended range. "I really don't think that's anybody's business, you know, what happened last year and I'm focused on this year and improving and working on things I need to get better at". So of course the Patriots are the ones making that move first in the NFL. To be clear, that's just the regular season.

"We have", he said, and after a query on whether or not he'd like to share that info, Kraft declined. "It was truly an honor to have coached him", Patriots coach Bill Belichick said during the ceremony. Now, they will fly the friendly skies of "Patriots Air". Both of his parents died in 2002 while Wilfork was a sophomore at the University of Miami. "For the players' sake they're going to travel in comfort".
