David de Gea Not Going to Real Madrid, Jose Mourinho 100% Guarantees

Manchester United fans worried about losing one of the club's best players to Real Madrid can rest assured, after Jose Mourinho confirmed that David de Gea is going nowhere.

Mourinho will be without the services of Luke Shaw, Ashley Young and Marcos Rojo due to injury, as the trio continue their rehabilitation with the rest of the squad in the United States of America.

Argentina international Sergio Romero is considered the Premier League's best back-up keeper and played all of United's Europa League campaign including the final in Copenhagen.

Transfer speculation over De Gea returning to hometown club Real has stretched on for the last two years, ever since the goalkeeper was a whisker away from heading to the Bernabeu in the summer of 2015. So to have both at the level, they can be is fantastic for me and it gives me the chance to choose the players in relation to the moment, and in relation to the qualities of the opponent because obviously they are different goalkeepers. I see him really happy and focused.

Mourinho is a manager capable to recognize strength when he sees it and Real Madrid is a formidable football machine. In the end, you don't get from them what you expect.

"If I am here now somebody is telling, 'I would like buy A player from Manchester United', 'I am having conversations with B player from Manchester United', then I would ask, 'Hey, I am here and the club is here, so be careful with what you say'".

The Red Devils have made two signings in the summer transfer window so far following the additions of Swedish defender Victor Lindelof and Everton star Romelu Lukaku. The feeling for him is very, very good. California's Levi's Stadium plays host to the International Champions Cup clash, in the first meeting of these sides since Louis van Gaal's United defeated Madrid 3-1 in August 2014.

The manager was speaking in California's Palo Alto before Sunday's tour meeting with Real in San Jose.

"So we opened it and then they decided to close".

Asked on Saturday if that was also the case with Bale, Mourinho said: "Yes, the same".

However, Asensio has been linked with signing a new six-year contract with the La Liga champions, with a massive €350m release clause.

Real coach Zinedine Zidane said the 26-year-old Brazilian has left the club's training base in Los Angeles to have a City medical.
